Chosen and Anointed Is Not Enough

Chosen and Anointed Is Not Enough | Acts 13:21–22

God is not only looking for gifted people, talented people, or even anointed people—He is looking for hearts that belong fully to Him.

In this message, we examine the lives of Saul and David and discover that both men were chosen and anointed, but their hearts responded very differently to God. Saul repeatedly allowed pressure, pride, people-pleasing, and self-justification to shape his obedience. David was far from perfect, but he cultivated a heart that could be corrected, broken, repentant, and restored.

This message challenges us to ask:

Who really sits on the throne of my heart?

Can God correct me?

Am I fully obeying Him—or simply giving Him the parts of my life I am willing to surrender?

Is there anything in me that grieves the heart of God?

God desires more than our sacrifice, service, title, platform, or gifting. He desires true worship that flows from a surrendered heart.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!”

— Psalm 139:23–24

This message is an invitation to repentance, intimacy with Christ, and a deeper relationship with God through the Holy Spirit.

Chosen is not enough. Anointed is not enough. God wants your heart.
